Hey. I need to plot xy scatter graph on excel, but the problem is that I have more than one meaning of x and y (I am enclosing picture). Could anyone help me?

OpenStudy (kamille):

@satellite73 could you please have a look?

OpenStudy (kamille):

I really need ideas:(

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Can't promise I can help with this particular problem, but could you share more about the content from which this problem stems? What are the instructions for this project/problem?

OpenStudy (kamille):

Ah, it is a part of practical. We had to measure the diameter of the rosette (let's call it is the size of plant) every week. We had 20 plants so we measured them every week and now I need to plot a graph: Plotting graphs: Plot a graph of time vs rosette diameter for control treatments. Using the ‘add data’ facility, add the second graph for the treated plants. For both plots add the plus and minus standard deviations. I know how to add 2 graphs in one, but I don't know how to plot xy scatter when I have that much information...

OpenStudy (kamille):

it should look something like this: (don't pay attention to blue lines)

OpenStudy (mathmale):

I hesitate to advise you on this project for fear of giving you incorrect information. The number of plants you have (20) poses a problem for me also. Is there anyone in your class whom you could contact to discuss this situation? Or could you speak with your instructor?

OpenStudy (kamille):

yeah, thanks anyway
