Calculate the old volume,$$\Large\bf\sf v_1=3\times8\times10$$Calculate the new volume,$$\Large\bf\sf v_2=2\times7\times8$$
The change in volume is the difference of the two volumes you calculated,$$\Large\bf\sf \Delta v=v_1-v_2$$That will tell us how much the volume was reduced by.

it is in^3 because you are multiplying 3in  X8in X 10in just incase you were not sure of how to reemeber when it is in^3
