if there are 175 grams of CuSO4*5H2O, how many grams are just copper?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Use the atomic weights of each the elements to get their rrelatie contributions to the compounds weight. For example 5(H2O) = 5(1+2 x 16)= 165 etc. Add up all the contributions, divide Cu contribution by this total, and then multiply 175g by this fraction.
