Check Work ? A boat is pulled into a dock by a rope attached to the bow of the boat and passing through a pulley on the dock that is 1m higher than the bow of the boat. If the rope is pulled in a rate of 1.5m/s how fast is the boat approaching the dock when it is 10 m from the dock rate= ? dr/dt= 1.5 m/s ? x=10m dx/dt= sqrt(101)/10 * 1.5 ? I looked at similar problems online but I cannot seem to get it. I think I'm plugging in the wrong numbers !
