Best Answer gets a medal. Determine a quadratic function with the given information. Answer in the form y=a(x-h)^2+k Vertex (-1,4) and point (-3,-4)

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

Easy. Vertex form for a parabola is \[y = a(x-h)^2+k\]where the vertex is at \((h,k)\). \(a\) is a constant which can be chosen to run the parabola through an arbitrary point. \[(h,k) = (-1,4)\]Plug numbers into the formula (you don't know \(a\) yet, so leave it alone), what do you get?

This is the part where you type something, eh?
