a store sells batteries in packets of 6 or 10. it has a stock of 25 packets containing a total of a 186 batteries. how many of these are 10 battery packets?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

We have two equations here. Let S = the number of packets containing six batteries, and T = the number of packets containing ten batteries. Write the equations relating the quantities: S∗6+T∗10=186 S+T=25 Now solve for S or T by substitution or elimination, then use that value to find the other
