OpenStudy (breanneh):

Help I will fan and medal! use the irregular polygon below. Find the perimeter and the area show all work.

OpenStudy (breanneh):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

p=26

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a=40

OpenStudy (breanneh):

How did you get that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For perimeter just add the sides. For area split the polygon into to separate rectangles.

OpenStudy (ajanijones):

OpenStudy (ajanijones):

@scburchell11 please dont just tell answers.

OpenStudy (ajanijones):

And your answers are wrong the area and perimeter for the bottom shape is area=32 perimeter = 24. The top shape area = 16 and the top shape perimeter = 20

OpenStudy (ajanijones):

And if you want it all together just add the perimeter's together and add the area together.

OpenStudy (ajanijones):

May I have medal/fan @breanneh

OpenStudy (ajanijones):

Thank.you

OpenStudy (jack1):

perimeter is 32 area is 40

OpenStudy (jack1):

@ajanijones you cant simply add the perimeters of the divided shapes together, as som of each shape will be internal, therefore no longer perimeter
