OpenStudy (beccaboo333):

I don't have any anime shows I like in particular, the only thing I've watched recently is DragonBallZ .. However I do have a movie I love that's anime, it's called Spirited Away.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ONE PEICE AND NARUTO AND YU YU HAKISHIO

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I love how thomaster said Pokemon. I have heard of DragonBallZ and Nauruto, but have never watched them. I don't even watch Pokemon, I just play the games.

OpenStudy (beccaboo333):

I used to watch pokemon when I was younger. It's changed way to much.

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

I don't have a favorite (surprisingly if you consider my name XD ) Hayao Miyazaki's films are great overall I watch and played pokemon when I was younger :P then it was dragonball erm... I used to watch Bleach and Naruto now a days I'm watching Magi, Fairy Tail, One Piece.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wohooo one piece

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea we only watch it when my dads in though

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hes a truck driver

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh sorry

OpenStudy (rbx):

I don't have a particular favorite. My most liked anime have been: Inu Yasha, Yu Yu Hakusho, Captain Tsubasa, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Hunter x Hunter, Katekyo Hitman Reborn!, Bleach, Shingeki no Kyojin, Fairy Tail, Death Note, Pokemon, and Naruto (a bit - haven't wached even the entire original series). Could have forgotten some but this list is mostly complete. Want to watch: One Piece - too big for my hard disk.

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

OMG I can't believe I forgot about Fullmetal and Death Note DX

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i love inu yasha and bleach and full metal

OpenStudy (rbx):

@beccaboo333 Pokemon hasn't changed much. Ash is still 10 years old and his Pikachu often loses to starter pokemon.

OpenStudy (rbx):

One I forgot was Get Backers. I wish there were more episodes exploring limitless fortress.

OpenStudy (beccaboo333):

Is there anyway we can all take this to chat now? It's turning into a long spam thread. It didn't really have much to deal with feedback to begin with.

OpenStudy (opcode):

Well since it hasn't been thrown out here I might as well say watch, "Grave of the Fireflies." (火垂るの墓, Hotaru no haka.) It isn't my favourite though once you watch it you'll never forget it. Also Digimon (デジモン Dejimon) over Pokémon any day. I'll add a list of mine that I found okay, or interesting: (I have plenty, so I'll try to keep it to the ones that I think people should watch.) Hellsing (ヘルシング, Herushingu) Darker than Black (黒の契約者, Dākā Zan Burakku -Kuro no Keiyakusha) Phantom Requiem for the Phantom/Phantom of Inferno Elfen Lied (エルフェンリート, Erufen Rīto) K (K-Project) Usagi Drop/Bunny Drop (うさぎドロップ, Usagi Doroppu) Neon Genesis Evangelion (新世紀エヴァンゲリオン, Shin Seiki Evangerio) Higurashi When They Cry (ひぐらしのなく頃に, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni) Guilty Crown (ギルティクラウン, Giruti Kuraun) Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion (コードギアス 反逆のルルーシュ Kōdo Giasu: Hangyaku no Rurūshu) Aoi Bungaku Series (青い文学シリーズ, "Blue Literature Series") Perfect Blue (パーフェクト・ブルー) Now a days I read more manga than watch anime, so I haven't really watched any newer animes. (Some of the animes are 17+ for gore/language/etc. You have been warned.)

OpenStudy (rbx):

I have watched Code Geass, premise is much similar to Death Note but I lost interest around episode 15. Also watched K a bit, didn't find it too interesting. Helsing and Evangelion are in my to-watch list.

OpenStudy (rbx):

@beccaboo333 I did post some feedback but it seems to have been deleted. :S

OpenStudy (opcode):

I enjoyed Code Geass, they made you attached to the characters then destroyed your trust in them. (I presume you could say it is similar to Death Note, but Code Geass has mechs :D). K (K-Project) I found was more a a action/comedy type thing, the beginning is odd, but a few more episodes in you get hooked.

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

I used to love Gundam Wing :D I doubt anyone knows what that is... But then it just disappeared :( My favorite is now One Piece but I can't find it anywhere anymore either :\

OpenStudy (rbx):

@Xmoses1 Have you tried nyaa?

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

Is it bad that i don't know what that is??

OpenStudy (rbx):

I can't say anymore than that you should Google 'nyaa'.

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

Alright will do!

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

Ok i see is it like a anime downloading website?

OpenStudy (rbx):

I hope you can find what you need (One Piece).

OpenStudy (xmoses1):

Yeah thanks :D

NARUTO

OpenStudy (♪chibiterasu):

Clannad <3

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Here are a few of my all-time favorite. I 5 Centimeters Per Second (秒速5センチメートル Byōsoku Go Senchimētoru) 5 Centimeter Per Second literally brought me to tears. It's such a beautiful story. If you haven't seen it, then I strongly recommend it. (Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdM7athAem0 ) II The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (時をかける少女 Toki o Kakeru Shōjo) This is another magnificent love story. It's about a time-travler and a distant lover. It's kind of a sci-fi love story, but the message is extremely compassionate. You'll love this movie, too. You'll be in tears by the end. "Time waits for no one..." (Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xk9SAmD00Iw ) III Angel Beats! (エンジェルビーツ! Enjeru Bītsu!) Oh, this short 13 episode anime really brings up all the empathy and emotion you have in your heart. It's about children who haven't gotten a chance to live their lives, they've all had cruel and unjust histories and find God to be cruel. They get a second chance at life, but they must first confront who they are. Please... PLEASE, you have to watch this anime if you consider yourself an activist. It's funny, youthful, and heartbreaking all at the same time. You'll spend hours laughing and crying once you find out what these children have been through. (Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xc5GCDSgWQI ) IV Clannad (クラナド Kuranado) Never heard of Clannad? If you don't want to be depressed for days, I wouldn't watch this. This anime strikes you right in the feels. I actually couldn't finish the anime because it became unbearably sad. (Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=odGSQebH7tU ) V Cowboy Bebop (カウボーイビバップ Kaubōi Bibappu) Cowboy Bebop is a 24 episode anime + a movie. It's praised as one of the BEST anime of all time, and rightfully so. You like awesome bounty hunters, martial arts, philosophy and comedy all mixed into an action packed anime about collecting bounties in a western-space setting? Sounds sweet! Give it a watch. You'll fall in love with how real and down-to-earth the anime is (Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Au1AO1xaEts). [Movie] Well, folks, that's my top five anime series. I hope you watch all of them, because I feel you'll enjoy every moment of laughter and heartbreak. @Trident , I actually wouldn't mind watching these anime with you over Skype or Netflix. :) I think you and I could have some fun times!

OpenStudy (rbx):

I have 5 centimeters per second movie, never really got time to watch it. I also have clannad and haven't watched it either. As for Angel Beats, I think it was finished way too early, I wanted to see more character development.

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Sounds like something /a/ would say. The character development in AngelBeats was fine. I don't feel it was very forced. They conveyed their message and didn't continue like nurutu just for the fanbase. It was a beautiful story. You have to listen to the soundtracks to really understand the message.

OpenStudy (rbx):

I still feel the ending was abrupt, I think manga covers the story of each character. I'd read manga one day when I get time.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

help me please

OpenStudy (opcode):

Manga = Free flow creativity of an artist. Anime = Animation budgets and deadlines. It is highly unfair to compare any manga series to its counterpart anime series as there are many things limiting how good the anime series may be.

OpenStudy (rbx):

Yes, budget issues are considerable. I believe I read somewhere that Angel Beats was finished earlier because of budget issues; initially 24 episodes were planned. Some anime still manage to keep up with manga, an example will be Katekyo Hitman Reborn. The episodes and manga chapters were exactly alike, but it too finished early, so I now am reading its manga.
