Who thinks the U.S. might go to war with Russia with in the next four years??
That is most likely going to happen but it should only be Russia and Ukraine fighting. Of of course Obama wants to get involved which will then start a war we will loose because Russia and china are on the same team and we can not defeat them. So thats my opinion
Yeah i honestly think hes going to open his mouth one to many times and get us in alot of trouble and if Russia did attack us i do agree with you about china but i have a feeling our allies would leave our alliance and alot of other countries would jump on us as well
haha yes i agree :D
Yep because everyone will soon see that the us is a thief and then they will team up and the us has no chance.
I agree.
if that happens it will not be "Russian Will", they will try everything to avoid occupation and disarmament. Also American Imperialism shows to go after the "weakling" when its down and will not risk any chances of failure in Russia. As we know Russia is almost impenetrable past the Volga, and to get to the volga many lives and money will be lost. Therefore all this issues arise making it unlikely that the US will want to scale a full fledged war on Russia.
well another thng about that is i dont think it would be us Americans attacking them i think we would actually have to fight this war if it were to happen on our own homefront instead of in a foriegn country.
Taco
I'd probably say zero for the simple fact that it's what we did the last time. When Russia intervened in Georgia, all President Bush could do was wring his hands knowing that there was nothing he technically could do. Right now, it's a lot of saber rattling on both sides to gauge just how far they can push things. But outright war? Everyone thought that's what would happen in nearly half a century of Cold War and the closest we had come was the Cuban Missile Crisis. Historically, both sides fought each other through proxies like North and South Korea, North and South Vietnam, and even in Afghanistan (the US supplying the mujahideen there). But never directly because they both knew what it might lead to. China could also probably care less about what is happening and so far, that's what they've shown. It doesn't affect their interests much seeing as their economy is far bigger than Russia's and they don't need the headache of backing either horse in this fight. But they're watching to see how things play out. Why? Short answer: nukes. No one wants to see a shooting match between the US forces and Russia because of what it might escalate into. Even though the Cold War is over, they still have a large, professionally trained army with nukes in the silos and no one really wants to cross that line.
these are all great points and thoughts and i really hope it doesnt happen but eh things change and i honestly can say i would want no part in it if our country did get in a big war :P
