this is a word with 3 syllables, hence, it is an "esdrújula" word. All esdrújulas have an accent in the first syllable.
"agudas" always have an accent in the final syllable when it ends in n, s or vowel.
"graves" never have an accent in the before the final syllable when the word ends in n, s or vowel
hope this helps.
