OpenStudy (anonymous):

The process of mitosis and cytokinesis results in a diploid cell becoming ... A. one diploid cell B. one haploid cell C. two diploid cells D. two haploid cells

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

Diploid is 2n. How many cells does mitosis produce?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2 i think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think its C but not sure!

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

Then you will have 2 cells with half of 2n each

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Soo, it would be c then, right?

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

Yeah. Correction: I meant half of 4n each. 4n because the 2n was replicated before mitosis.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, alright thank you!

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

Your welcome.
