What are the minimum, first quartile, median, third quartile, and maximum of the data set? 55 62 61 54 68 72 59 61 70

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first you must put them order: 54 55 59 61 61 62 68 70 72 then you find the median 61 and 61, add them together and divide by 2 since that's how many number their are now you have your median which is 61 so that's your medain quartile next you'll find the first quartile since you know your median you'll have to find the second one... 54,55,59, 61 this is your first quartile 61,62, 68,70,72 and this is the third quartile minimum is the lowest number which means 54 is the lowest and maximum is the highest number so 72 is the highest number if you need more help don't hesitate to ask! @ShaTay
