Bob gets paid an annual salary of $30,000 and earns 5% commission on all sales he makes. If Bob wants to make $6,000 this month, how much in sales does he need to have?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well 30,000 divided by 12 months gives salary month which is...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{ 30,000 }{ 12 } = ?\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well he makes 2500 a month, based on 30K/12, so he wants to make an extra 3500 a month. If he makes 5% from commision just multiply 3500 by 20 (5 goes into 100 20 times) and you get 70000
