(6) That way, Jack could fish and Brenda could enjoy swimming. 2. In sentence 4, what is "After a heated discussion"? A. A dependent clause B. An independent clause C. An adjective phrase D. A prepositional phrase (I think its C, but I don't know... help?)

D. I was almost confused thinking it was A but dependent clauses contain a subject-verb pair (ex. These sparrows chirp) yet 'After a heated discussion' doesn't contain a verb it contains a preposition.
