How should you format a long quote in a report or research paper?

put it in bold
italicize it
underline it
use a different font
block quote it

Ex: "The trees rustled, their leafy branches swaying above the earth, just barely missing a peeking ground squirrel and spooking it away."

Ex: "'Who can I trust?' hissed Bluestar. 'No one is worthy anymore.'"

So, basically, use these ' ' if a character is speaking, and use " " in general for quotations.

For format, just use blocks of text, and skip lines whenever it reaches a new subject. Like paragraphs.
