hi guys, am a newbie to computer engineering, please advise where to start

at the beginning of course!

@nytro 04 - i would recommend to get started as early as possible .It doesn’t matter if you learn in a less inefficient manner or don’t know where you’re going. As long as you know whatever it is you’re doing is heading in the right direction, it is the best option to go about it.

Everyone always starts with c++ when learning the coding side of computer engineering. I would also practice algebra manipulations and even learn a little bit about circuits. you will be really happy with these 3 things and how much they help you.

:@jeremyggg i agree :)

i'd disagree with starting with c++, in favor of a slightly higher level language as a first. Knowing any language will help with learning every other one, once you understand logic and control structures etc, learning a new language means learning syntax and keywords for the most part. This course 6.00 is a great place to start, and any math or logic classes will be helpful
