OpenStudy (anonymous):

equation of straight line in slope-intercept form is y=mx+c where m is slope and c intercept here m=4 so eqn becomes y=4x+c now this line passes through point P(-8,6) so it wold be satisfy it. so by putting x= -8 and y=6 you will get c by putting value of c in equation y=4x+c you will get your final answer.
