There's a month long training, and only a certain amount of users are picked each ambassador announcement that qualify for training.

If you didn't apply before the deadline in February, it's too late. You'll have to wait until they are open again. The 20 new ambassadors have been chosen and will be trained, and won't be announced as real ambies until April 1st.
