I really need some help because I don't even know how to do this and they are asking me anyways so someone please help!!????? -3+y<6 what is the solution of the inequality shown above?

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

you would add the 3 to both sides and then you wou;d get 1y = 8...then you divide by one and what you get is <8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

actully that was wrong :/

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

what do you think it is??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't know what it is that's why I asked lol but all i know is that your answer is wrong sorry...

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

have you tried solving it??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

of corse

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

what did you get

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The same answer that's why i know its wrong

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

-3+y<6 +3 +3 y=<8

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

-3 + y < 6 -- add 3 to both sides y < 6 + 3 y < 9

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

wow..that was a mistake @Tears_of_Ashes sorry..it is actually <9

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

If I had $1 for every mistake I made, I would be rich...lol

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

hahahahaha:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol wait what was the mistake? because i must have made the same mistake as yana

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

the mistake was when adding 6 + 3, you get 9 and not 8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well i feel super dumb right now -.-

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

don't worry about it...everybody makes mistakes. That just means your human..lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):
