it'll be the the Pythagorean theorem, but reversed. the pythagorean theorem is a^2 + b^2 = c^2. Knowing that, square the the hypotenuse and the given leg and fill in the blanks for the Pythagorean theorem equation. You should get something like this: x^2 +81=196. Subtract 81 from both sides and you're left with x^2=115. Square root both sides and you get x= (about) 10.7
