please help Write (x) = 5(x − 1)2 − 3 in standard form.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

standard form is getting all the x's to one side! where would you start?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry its f(x) does that change the problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh yes, very much so haha! do you know what f(x) means?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you mean f(x) = 5(x − 1)^2 − 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeas

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it means what y does when x changes, or... f(x) is y. what i believe you are looking for is the slope form.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f(x) =5x^2-10x+2
