A few U.S History questions please help me. Which was not one of the causes of the Great Depression? -Speculative stock purchases -risky banking practices -excessive income taxes -severe drought I think it would be severe drought?
@beth1998 @Compassionate @thomaster
In what country are you talking about?
Great Depression of the United States you know the year 1929
U.S. History
Severe Drought is one of the causes, it is also know as the dust-bowl in agricultural heartland. It is "risky banking practices". There was excessive income taxes on farm land and the U.S. stock market had crashed!
wait but wasn't risky banking the main contributor?
in my textbook it said that banks were loaning in a risky way and it put them in danger
Is there any option I have read about everything other than risky banking practices but it makes sense about the banks because the U.S. was loaning out money to other countries after World War II so they could build there economy back up.
so what could be a second option?
maybe excessive income taxes? I haven't read about that at all in the section of great depression
@beth1998
I would go with your choice, it wasn't really talk about as much as the other ones.
ok
