A problem requires finding the distance traveled in miles. Which would not be a reasonable answers? Justify your response. A. -10 B.1.8 C.10 1/2 D.50

A would not be a reasonable answer because distance is not a vector quantity, it is a scalar quantity--it has no direction and in the real world should always be a positive value.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Adding direction would make it displacement and not 'direction.' Displacement is a vector quantity, distance is not. =D
