William Golding’s novel, Lord of the flies, is about a group of British boys who are starting to struggle because the power of civilization is slowing fading as the novel progresses. Ralph who is one of the boys in the island is a bit different from others because he thinks about rescuing everyone from the island and he try’s really hard to make sure everyone is behaving on the island. Jack also one of the boys on the island is a complete opposite of what Ralph is because Jack is always trying to hunt and that gives him a lot of pleasure when a pig is stabbed to death. In the novel being a leader for all the boys was a challenge for Ralph because Jack did not find that the other boys made the right choice when they all chose Ralph

is this a good thesis ?? . It is really important to be influced the right way from the right people because that can lead us to become either civilzed person like Ralph or a blood thrust person like Jack.

I like it, but usually an essay consists of three body paragraphs so you will need one more paragraph. Maybe you could choose a character that is middle-ground between Ralph and Jack, or the people that were influenced by either of them. Remember you will have to write an entire paragraph on each of these points (usually 7+ sentences for at least high school level.)

Maybe you could find some way to do a compare / contrast of the two characters included in your thesis, so you could draw the three points in a way that would allow each character to be portrayed equally/balanced in your essay.
