Derision- the feeling that people express when they criticize and laugh at someone or something in an insulting way. Infamy: The condition of being known for having done bad things or for being evil. Franc: A basic unit of money that is used in some countries where French is spoken and that was formerly used in France, Luxembourg, and Belgium. Magistrate: A local official who has some of the powers of a judge. Fortnight: two weeks “Je vous aime, Marie”: I love you, Marie Poplar: A tall, thin tree that has rough bark, soft wood and very small groups of flowers. Undeceive: To free from deception, illusion, or error Persecute: To treat (someone) cruelly or unfairly especially because of race or religious or political beliefs. Instigator: Someone who causes (something) to happen or begin. Reconciled: to cause people or groups to become friendly again after an argument or disagreement Brooding: To think a lot about something in an unhappy way. Idiot(medical term): A person affected with extreme mental retardation. Dejected: Sad because of failure, loss, etc. Resolutely: Having or showing a lot of determination Shrewder: Evil or scolding person. Entreaty: A serious request for something Cursory: Done or made quickly Eccentric: Tending to act in strange or unusual ways. Inexorable: Not able to be stopped or changed. Irrevocably: Impossible to revoke Imperturbable: very calm or very hard to disturb or upset. Apropos: by way of interjection or further comment or with regard to the present topic.
