What were some of the effects of dropping the atomic bombs on Japan? What were some of the causes for WWII?
a bunch of people died
Aside from people getting vaporized at ground zero, other effects included radiation burns and fallout. Unlike a conventional bomb where if you manage to survive you can expect to live afterwards, people who were simply close to ground zero to an atom bomb would get a dose of radiation that could kill them several days, weeks, months, or even years later. Even if they got a sunburn from an atom bomb, it was the kind of sunburn that could give them cancer, leukemia, etc.. later. Nukes are nasty weapons. As for the causes of WW2, take your pick -- appeasement, nationalism, the Treaty of Versailles, extremism, geopolitics...there's a lot that contributed to the start of WW2.
