Dear mods and ambies,
i have to talk with all of you a serious problems of some mods. today i kept a survey on os....and 1 mod who is the unfairest mod banned me for 11 hrs teellin i was finding oders ip....is it possible to find ip ....i ddint even ask ip..... and even though that mod bloked me i got some survey results......

here r the results out of 26-
14 tell they gett bullied
3 tell they itself a re bullies and 10 they dont get bullied......
and 24 tell that trollers have increased in past 2 yrs
i found the best mods are- @thomaster @AravindG @hartnn @Preetha

Moderators do not support friends. If a friend were to do wrong, they would still have no problem suspending them. As for the survey, I do not understand what you are talking about. Therefore I am unable to help you there. My guess is that there was something that broke the rules in some way.

As for saying moderators are unfair, they are not. They are only trying to help us all by providing us care, and safety. Moderators do actually moderate each other. They moderate every single user on here.

Sometimes mistakes do happen, but not often. It is a very rare thing to occur. If you would like to continue this further, then please email your concerns to either email I provided you with.

You can sue OpenStudy, but remember, they have all the facts. They have everything you've posted and said. You agreed to this when you joined OpenStudy. You must follow their rules. If you break them, then you have to deal with the consequences.

Not much to add to what @beccaboo333 said, but indeed we do all monitor each other. Every time a warning or ban is issued we all see who it came from and the reason for it. There have been *very* few mods who have been revoked, and of course your complaints to abuse@openstudy.com are read by Preetha and other admin, so there exists a fairly efficient check and balance system. Besides, how can you even know who banned you? Our reports are anonymous to normal users.

I only see one suspension for the solicitation of IP addresses thing, which came from administration, not just some regular mod. But there are many more warnings and such I am reading through.

but a quick glance at your various user accounts, which I'm not going to check the reports on, make it clear that there is heavy trolling coming from your IP.

LOL oh my O_O reading this post, excellent job on the behalf of our newest ambassador and my partner in crime (hehe >:D) @beccaboo333 . Also, the way this small question was resolved was admirable. I work with great people. The thing is, if you feel you were treated unfairly, you can contact the emails that Becca provided at the beginning of the thread, and not make a public post. Becca and Jamie are both right. If you feel you've been unfairly suspended, you should email abuse@openstudy.com to take it up with them. The job of the mods and ambies are not to suspend people for fun and support each other. They are people who have shown greatt integrity and helpfulness and so got selected to that honorable status. And something you could do, surd, to improve your argument, is to use good grammer and proper spelling, as it makes a better impression on people. Various accounts are not allowed, and mass tagging isn't advised, either, but again, if you feel you've been suspended unfairly, go ahead and email abuse@openstudy.com. Hope I helped. That's a very good idea, I think. However, if you have admin rights on your computer, you can easily change your IP address too. The unverified accounts and questions and chat ideas are great ideas though, I think.

But there's really no proof of the warnings that the certain mod has given you, as Turry has already scouraged through your warnings and sees nothing of that kind in them. warnings cannot be hard deleted or reversed either, therefore I have a feeling this may be fake. But if it's true and it happens again, make sure to screencap proof and email it to our Administrators at the email given above. Our moderators will be glad to help you if this case continues.

@surd....i think mods ambis and all others have answered ur ques...about the trollers and spammers again mods r doing their best...ip address ban would be implemented soon hopefully..in the case of being bullied...those ppl should immediately report because bullying is not tolerated on this site....now i really think you should close this ques...because if we keep on discussing these things...this post can go on forever...
