Can someone check these questions I have on the book, 'A Separate Peace?'

1. What does Gene's apprehensiveness to jump from the tree, his competition with Finny, and his fear about going against the rules make him?

(I think it's C.)

If you can help, I have a few more, but I can't type them all out here. (I just need them checked before I turn this test in.)

2. Why is it impossible for readers to know how Finny really feels about not being able to participate in athletics after his fall?
A. Finny is in denial and believes he'll be able to play sports again.
B. Gene narrates the story, so readers don't know what Finny is thinking.
C. Finny is too upset and angry to talk about his feelings after the accident.
D. Gene thinks Finny will be okay, so Gene doesn't ask Finny how he feels about it.
(I'm almost positive this one is B.)

3. Why is the Winter Session at Devon more structured and by-the-book than the Summer Session?
A. Winter is bleak and there isn't much to do around Devon.
B. The Devon tradition of rules and routines was broken over the summer.
C. The war has started, and everyone has become more serious.
D. The young, fun teachers have all left for the war.
(I've got no clue with this one. Maybe C?)
