What has to be true for two functions to be the same? f(x) = g(x) for all x? I mean f(x) = 1 and g(x) = x/x certainly have the same shape, but one has domain of R and the other has the domain of R\{0}

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then they are not the same function

OpenStudy (anonymous):

part of the definition of a function is the domain, as well as the action

thank you ^^
