I have a question for graphing functions, is there anyone who can help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is your question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Using a graph, i need to select all the statements that are true. But i dont know how to show you the graph.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Link it? Find a 'find screen' button on your keyboard, maybe written as 'PrtSc' and paste onto word or paint, save it and attach the file here.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Unless it's on paper, lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I agree, after you do that I would be delighted to help. And if it is on paper and you have a smart phone, you can take a picture of it and upload it here.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is that better guys?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hopefully you guys can see it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There is more than one answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The first two are simple. For the first, where is the line on the graph when x is 4.9?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'll answer then, lol, I see it at y=4, do you agree?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Even if it isn't shown on the graph, there's a nice pattern going on so it's easy to extrapolate a little.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I agree. Also, it can't be an absolute value function because as well know about absolute function, the integers can only be positive never negative.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes i see, but im really horrible in math so excuse me lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

One-to-one would require you to use the horzontal line test.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:p go in order

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is B correct or not? Or have you already answered some?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, i havent answered it yet. Its an online class.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I see. If I may ask, are you in Pre-Calculus?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, geometry lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im like 118 assignments behind on this and have until March 28th to have it completed.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, that makes a lot more sense. Alright, a greatest integer function is one where f(x) is less than or equal to x.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have no clue on what the answers could be, i know there is like 3 of them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For example, if f(5.3) would be 5. And if we connected all the points on this graph, and did one-to-one or the horizontal test, it would hit twice showing that its not a function. Therefore, if I was to guess I would say that it would be A and D.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The correct answer was B & D.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wow, I'm sorry.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its okay, thanks for your help anyway. Im on to the next question.. i can only get 3 wrong and so far i got 2 wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I wish you the best of luck.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Could i ask you for a favor? Please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

AHH, I thought we established that A was wrong already, lolol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can someone complete some of this online class for me? i have 2 others i am doing. And i really could use some help.
