1.)Explain whether the experimental probability of tossing tails when a fair coin is tossed 25 times is always ,sometimes,or never equal to the theoretical probability. 2.)A radio station in Mississippi is giving away a trip to the Mississippi coast from any other state in the United States. Assuming an equally likely chance for a winner from any other state, what is the probability that the winner will be from a state that does not border Mississippi?
1.)Explain whether the experimental probability of tossing tails when a fair coin is tossed 25 times is always ,sometimes,or never equal to the theoretical probability. What do you think?
sometimes?
Why? try to think of an example to help you explain (and understand)
because, we did an experiment in class where we flipped coins to test out the theoretical probability and one person got exactly the same result as the theoretical reasoning and one wasn't.
If that makes sense....
wait was I correct?
Medal was a hint :P
ohh aha I was just making sure. (: & Could you also help me with number 2 please?
2.)A radio station in Mississippi is giving away a trip to the Mississippi coast from any other state in the United States. Assuming an equally likely chance for a winner from any other state, what is the probability that the winner will be from a state that does not border Mississippi? How many states border mississippi? How many do not border it? (subtract the above answer from the total) probability = number that don't border it / total states
Might be not counting mississippi, it's kinda vague
oh ok thankyou so much!!
