can someone please help me on this geometry question!?

the 3x+11
then we can say that \(\bf 3xx+11 > 8\) solve for "x" :)
hmm i got 2 x's there for a reason anyhow \(\bf 3x+11 > 8\)
i don't understand how to do that /:
have you covered simplifying linear equations yet?
no :/
well, the way you'd do a linear INEQUALITY, is the same way you'd do it for a linear equation 3x + 11 > 8 subtract 11 from both sides first, left and right hand sides then divide both sides by 3
x> -1 ?
OH MY GOD I GOT THE ANSWER THANK YOU SO MUCHSA FAUIWEFH,EA

Can you help me on one more, please?
ok
what is the slope of a line hat is parallel to the line whose equation is y - 10 = -4(x + 1)
that*
y - 10 = -4(x + 1) <--- solve for "y" what do you get?
y= -4x + 6 ?
\(\large y - 10 = -4(x + 1)\implies y=-4x-4+10\implies \begin{array}{llll} y=&{\color{red}{ -4}}x+6\\ &\quad \uparrow \\ &slope \end{array}\)
y= -4x + 6 ? \(\checkmark\)
\(\large {y - 10 = -4(x + 1) \\ \quad \\ \implies y=-4x-4+10\implies \begin{array}{llll} y=&{\color{red}{ -4}}x+6\\ &\quad \uparrow \\ &slope \end{array}}\)
ohhh! okay thank you so much :)
