I believe I found out the answer by myself. If anybody else can make sure for me, that'd be great. This is what I wrote:

The equation to find the answer is m+r=15 and xm+yr=45. M is missiles, R is ray-guns. X is amount of batteries for missiles and Y is the amount of batteries for ray-guns. Until we know how many batteries each weapon requires, we cannot figure out this equation. That is what we need from the captain.
