Can you help make sure I have the right answer? The graph of the following system of equations is -2x + y = 3 -4x + 2y = 6 A. overlapping lines B. parallel lines C. intersecting lines I pick C :3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they are overlapping

OpenStudy (anonymous):

isolate y on both equations

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you will see they are identical

Any time you see that one line is a multiple of another line, you can tell that they overlap.. Any time you see that both equations are multiples of each other except for a constant, that means they don't intersect. As Hitman said, the lines overlap.

Kk, thank you both :3
