Describe how the graphs of functions f and g are related: f (x) = 2cos(pi x) g(x) = 2cos(2pi x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Mertsj I know the amplitude is 2 on both but how to do I describe these

OpenStudy (mertsj):

You should say that they both have amplitude 2 but f(x) completes a cycle in 2 units while g(x) completes a cycle in 1 unit.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh really is that it? I thought I would have to explain a lot more

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Well, that is the only difference between the two graphs.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is the period 1 on the g(x) and there are no shifts on the g(x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Mertsj

OpenStudy (mertsj):

yes
