When simplified, (3x^2) (9x^-6) becomes..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3x^-10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is there a breakdown of it? Explaining how?

Thank so much

sorry I deleted my response by mistake!

I was wondering where did it go "lol"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

here it is again, sorry! 3x^2.9x^-6 3x^2(3^2)(x^-6) 3x^2(3x^-12) = 3x^-10 since the bases i.e. 3x are the same, you add the indices.

Thank you
