anyone know the answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is another question involving special right triangles.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah I'm taking a quiz on special right triangles.. i only have like five minutes left to turn it in v.v fml

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

|dw:1394419303831:dw| These would be your side ratios

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

So you would have 2 of the same side lengths...and the third side will be one of those times √2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes what @johnweldon1993 said.. that is the qualities of a special right triangle..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so pretty much that one multipled by sqrt2 would equal sqrt2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so based on that you cna rule our c and d immediately and you have left a and b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a?

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Not quite...How did you arrive at A?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no think about it square root of 2 times square root if 2 would equal?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

flutter

OpenStudy (anonymous):

damn

OpenStudy (anonymous):

fml

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Lets say that "1" represents 3√2 |dw:1394419564700:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

aghhhhhhh.......

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

What is 3√2√2 ? Well the √2√2 simplifies to 2...so this is 3 * 2 = 6 So that would equate to answer choice B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im done. thank you all for your help. i'll give a medal to svt.. it was a good one...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks :) but @johnweldon1993 also deserves one.. ill give it to him :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah definitely.. ah.. once again thank you all

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no problem... its fun... :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But it's geometry.. that can't possibly be fun.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i also take it.. the math isnt that fun but my teacher is great which makes it fun.. no matter how dull this subject seems she makes it really interesting and funny.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How I wish I would have a teacher like yours.. honestly. Sophomore year was hell with the lady I had. Only person I grew to truly dislike in my entire life.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that sucks... she made the best analogy of squaring the other day and it was hilarous i would tell you but i cant explain it properly :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Haha it's fine. Again thank you for the help today, take care dood!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

same to you.. see you around on the website... :)
