PLEASE HELP! How to create a bar graph for the problem: Does the amount of time spent on the computer affect grades? Will give one medal.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know HOW to create a graph-but for this problem, I'm having trouble determining x and y labels. The problem is: "Does the amount of time on the computer affect grades depending on gender?" and I found the average GPA and hours spent on the computer for each gender. I'm not sure how to create a bar graph for this. I know it can't be a line graph, though.

OpenStudy (frostbite):

Hmmm do a hours vs gender plot. |dw:1394434283981:dw|

What about the grades? Where would that belong? BTW, my average GPA for the boys is 3.5 and their hours is 5.4/day. The girls' is 3.8 and they spend 5.75 hours/day.

I have finished the graph, but it just doesn't make much sense to me. It's for a science project, and my science teacher wants us to do presentations, so I have to explain it.

OpenStudy (frostbite):

Oh so you have multiple groups? gender, age and time?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, I just have gender, GPA, and hours.

OpenStudy (frostbite):

Seems to me you need to be doing 2 graphs... also sound most natural as e multiple regression lines could be used as statistical model. A null hypothesis testing can then test for a significant difference between the genders, corresponding to the CPA and PC time.

I already have a line graph done. I can't do the bar graph, however.

Oh well. Thanks for trying.
