Can any please help to solve this equations by using elimination method y=(-2/315)x^2+630 and 4x-3y=-1260

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

Take the first equation: \[y = -\frac{2}{315}x^2+630\]and add \(\large \frac{2}{315}x^2\) to both sides. Next, multiply the entire equation by 3. Now you should an equation with \(3y\) on the left side. Add that equation to the other equation, and the \(y\) terms will vanish, leaving you with a quadratic equation in terms of \(x\) to solve. Once you've found the values of \(x\), you can use the first equation in this post to find the values of \(y\).
