Well, since the king locked his daughter away in a tower; away from any men. Because the prophesy said that he would die from her daughter's son. But he didn't take into account the god of thunder. Yes, Zeus felt sorry for her and he spent a night with her. She then gave birth to Perseus; who then eventually killed Acrisius.
