i dont think so, thats more like surrealism(tapping into the subconcious and other wierd philosphical issues of the world). Impression is i usually drawn in blurs and makes use of strong colors,like extremely vibrant. Things are usually plain yet colorful as impressionism atempted to capture the image of something so as if you only caught a glimpse of it,

and impressionist artist were known for painting non political or symoblic paintings. they would paint simple out door scenes and everyday life without sending a "message"

Surrealism actually. :) The painting is called "The Persistence of Memory" and the artist is Salvador Dali. Mostly what surrealism is that artists created odd creatures out of ordinary, everyday objects and allowed their unconscious to express itself. :) It's pretty interesting.
