Marx is the author of the Communist Manifesto. Lenin read Marx and worked for revolution in Russia for several decades. He was exiled by the Russian government but through a series of events was able to get power and form the Soviet Union. His worse crimes are associated with the Red Terror. It started with execution of political rivals in August 1918. Then it expanded to killing the royal family Hundreds of thousands of people were imprisoned and perhaps over a million were executed over the next 5 years.
Hitler gets all the bad press but Lenin and his successor Stalin were evil decades earlier.
