What is the domain and range for the following function and its inverse? f(x) = x2 – 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f(x) = x^2-2 Domain is all real numbers Range: y = all real numbers, y is greater than or equal to -2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sinc there are no restrictions for the values you can substitute as 'x' , the domain is R - all real now for range , u need to see what possible outcomes u get for substituting different values

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if u put 0 , then y = -2 if u put any other number , the square makes ir positive and it will always be higher than -2 so range is [-2,infinity]
