OpenStudy (anonymous):

solve by any method -2x + 3y = -15 and 4x -y = 15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y =-3

OpenStudy (shamil98):

solve the 2nd equation for y and then use sub.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x= 3

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

Or, multiply the first equation by 2, and add them together. You'll get an equation just in terms of one variable after you do that, and you should be able to solve it. Once you've got the value of one variable, plug it into either formula to get the value of the other variable.
