do you understand what abyss did ?

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

let me break it down step by step.... 7x^2 - 6 = 442 -- add 6 to both sides 7x^2 - 6 + 6 = 442 + 6 7x^2 = 442 + 6 7x^2 = 448 -- divide both sides by 7 7x^2/7 = 448/7 x^2 = 448/7 x^2 = 64 x = sq rt 64 x = 8 does that help any ??
