Aerobic Respiration: Uses oxygen Occurs in cytoplasm and mitochondria carbon dioxide and water are produced. Anearobic Respiration: Does not use oxygen Occurs in cytoplasm only Lactic acid is produced in animals and ethanol in plants (water is never an end product here)
