A sculpture of an object is 4 inches wide and 6 inches high. The actual object is twelve feet wide. What is the scale between the sculpture and the object?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3 inches to 2 feet 1 inch to 2 feet 2 inches to 3 feet 1 inch to 3 feet

OpenStudy (anonymous):

36:1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

.3333 ft : 12 ft

OpenStudy (nikato):

so you're just looking at the width on the model, it is 4 inches but actually it is 12 feet so ratio/factor is 4 inches to 12 feet. and you can simplify it because both terms go into 4 so 1 inch to 3 feet

Okay thank you!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which would be 1 inch to 36 inches
