Trigonometry 15 Online
OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do you find the asymptote of y=2sec(3x)

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

there are many, you get an asymptote when you try and divide by 0 so \(2\sec(3x)=\frac{2}{\cos(3x)}\) so when cos(3x)=0 we will have a asymptote. so for what values of x is cos(3x) = 0?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait i'm sorta confused..so how would you graph that

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

https://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=2sec%283x%29 like that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the amp= 2 and then period=2pi/3?
