h(x)= f(g(x^3)) what does h ' (x)=?

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

apply chain rule h'(x) = f'(g(x^3))*g'(x^3) *3x^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im sorry i really dont understand how to proceed with this.

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

thats it, its done :) chain rule is you multiply the outside derivative by the inside derivative, in this case there were 2 nested "inside functions"
