what is the difference between the atrioventricular valves and the semi lunar valves....full details in the picture below

Atrial-ventricular valves separate the atrium and the ventricle so that the blood does not flow backwards, thus negating the point of having two chambers. the semilunar valves are stronger, because they prevent backflow of blood from the aorta and the pulmonary trunk (which both have higher pressures) back into the heart.
